Here lies the visual and the written elements of branding, packaging and campaigns designed for our clients by our nonconforming selves.

A Touch of Wool

Publication Design, Illustration

The Garment Lab, an offshoot of the Department of Agriculture, partook in Perth Fashion Festival for its third year and commissioned emerging fashion designers to work only with wool and a piece of world-leading garment creation equipment developed by the Department. Nude was engaged to develop a contemporary identity for the show, through its catalogue. Through design, illustration, layout, photography and typography we sought to create an understated sophistication and re-position the show’s brand in the festival. A simple, uncluttered gallery feel was married with a similarly pared-away photographic style. Of particular note was the illustrated instructional guide to knitting on the cover of the publication that sought to question the pre-conceived perceptions of what wool is good for in the industry – this perception was in stark contrast to the finished works created by the designers at the catwalk show.
